She said she used to hang around with the rich and famous, Kings and Rajahs, Hoola Balls.. I met her in the gutter she was drunk and swearing, Lying there like a dirty rag doll.. "Bloody Rajahs" mumbled she "messed me up and used me, set me up and kicked me out"... Bloody Rajahs ! She said they used to dress her up like a Zulu princess, Toucan head dress, bones and things.. To put a wiggle in her hips and make her jewels jingle, black eyed Rajahs, Jumping Kings.. "Bloody Rajahs" mumbled she "messed me up, abused me, set me up then boot me out" Bloody Rajahs !

Bombay Boys 03:03
Bombay Boys would do any thing for a pound.. Bombay Boys could pick your pocket and you wouldn't even hear a sound.. Bombay Boys have Mothers and Sisters to support.. Bombay Girls learn very early how to wiggle when they walk.. Bombay Girls are taught by Mothers who are versed in the art.. Bombay Girls don't go hungry if they're smart ... When you've got no choice and you hear the growl of your little baby brother and his starving howl, you steal like the Bombay Boys.. Bombay Boys creep like shadows of dogs in the night.. Bombay Boys learn very early the advantage of the dirty fighter, huh! Bombay Boys have Mothers and Sisters to support.. Remember the Rajahs, the white and brown.. Brought the whole bloody Nation tumbling down.. You feel for the Bombay Boys.. Bombay Boys.

Stormproof 03:41
This girl's pulling her weight, she wants To really make it work this time This girl's had enough of layin' down and cryin' This girl's now jumpin' around like somebody set her feet on fire This girl's now doing her best when she Could've laid down and died.. She thought she'd had enough of rock 'n' roll. She was stormproof to emotion Stormproof to the blues Stormproof on any ocean Stormproof to the blues. This not girl's kickin' herself for any time Or stuff she's blown, no regrets.. This girl's developed a taste for being on her own. This girl's not aware of time she decided She ain't gonna get old, gotta stay young Everthing gonna turn out fine, everything's Gonna unfold She thought she'd had enough of rock 'n' roll.. She was stormproof to emotion Stormproof to the blues Stormproof on any ocean Stormproof to the blues.

They didn't try to paint a pretty picture, They just wrote down the facts "We're sorry your man's been lost in action, and is never coming back." How long will she cry for? For how long will she grieve? She will not forget her anger When she begged him not to leave. Oomah Oomah cry away. Oomah Oomah cry away your tears. The home she loved and cared for, Is now an empty shell. The feelings have all disappeared and her spirit's gone as well. And everything is useless, tho' relations rally round, She must serve her lonely sentence, For her love on foreign ground. Oomah Oomah cry away. Oomah Oomah cry away your tears.

Caught me when I was not thinking, And I found myself sat in a chair, And I felt like I'd been up all night drinking, Tho' I can't remember how I got there. She dyed and colored my hair. Burgundy and bright magenta with a Peacock for a pony tail and a subtle flash of crimson splendor. She dyed and colored my hair. "I wasn't looking out. I really didn't care. Wish she'd took a photo of the colour of my hair. I wasn't looking out I let her have her way. Technicolour hair-do all around my face." Caught me when I wasn't aware . . . She dyed and colored my hair. "I let her try it out. I let her go to town. This hair-do is an art form. A multi coloured crown. I wasn't looking out I let her have her way. Wish she'd took a photo to remind me of the day" She caught me when I wasn't aware . . . She dyed and colored my hair.

about

The Bloody Rajahs was Chris Bradford's post-Heroes project, following the release of Heroes debut album "Border Raiders". Involving Heroes band mates Mark Hankins and Pete Lennon, the band recorded two brilliant, bombastic tracks with at once jubilant and scathing, ironic lyrics that suck you in and share guilty secrets. Music that invites you to laugh and cry.
This EP also includes live versions of those tracks, and three other Chris Bradford original tracks recorded at various studios.
The music video for the song "Bloody Rajahs" directed by Norman Goodman, and filmed at Hamper Mill, is included as a bonus item with this EP.
